DESCRIPTION:The troop will be subsidizing the cost of these a bit if you’d like to take advantage of that. Unfortunately\, since parents have to sign their kids up individually for the below 2\, it will be in the form of cash back to you. Just PM Kristin a receipt of payment. The troop will buy all patches (if they’re not included) for the optional events the leaders pick for the troop to attend together outside of the regular meeting times. \nLeMay Automotive design and engineering: \nOct 5: 9am-3pm \nCOST: $35 per scout and $6 per attending adult (troop will reimburse $20 per child making it a cost of $15 per kid and provide all 3 badges. Troop will additionally reimburse the $6 per adult attending if you are willing to carpool and chaperone other kids) \nNOTE: This is not a drop off event\, but troops can retain safety ratios (we need 3 adults attending for every 15 scouts\, and one more adult for each 5 scouts after that). DESCRIPTION:Our annual bridging ceremony/beginning of year party/summer badge presentation & potluck will be held at the picnic shelter at Paramount Park on September 27th from 4:30-6:30pm. Ceremony will start at 4:30 and we will eat and party after. \nAll rising 2nd graders will cross the bridge from Daisies to Brownies and rising 4th graders will cross the bridge from Brownies to Juniors! We’d love to have all kids (and their families) present! Our rising 3rd and 5th graders will welcome them to the next level. All kids should wear their current vests/sashes/tunics. Bridging kids should also bring with them their new vests (labeled with their names) to change into for the ceremony. \nThis is a (nut free) potluck dinner event. Jaime and Kristin will bring the cupcakes + plates\, utensils & napkins for all food. We have vegans and vegetarians in the troop so if you happen to bring something that is vegan or vegetarian friendly and could mark your dish as such that would be great! \nPlease RSVP here and add what dish or drinks you plan to bring in the notes so we can get a good mix.

DESCRIPTION:More info coming soon \nWoodland Park Day Camp – July 7-11\, 2025\n\nWPDC is a week-long day camp run by volunteers in SU520 and SU530 which serves scouts in grades 1-12.  Camp is tentatively set for the week of July 7th (pending Seattle Parks reservation) and registration will likely open in January.  This is a volunteer run camp so looking for adult volunteers to fill various roles (all week unit leader\, part-time helper\, to run errands\, etc).  Daisy/brownie troops – please spread the word to get younger scouts at camp next summer.  For 6th grade scouts who want to make the transition from camper to camp helper\, they can complete their Program Aide (PA) in Training and Leadership in Action (LIA) award through WPDC.  This is a fantastic program where scouts learn how to work with younger kids\, as well as many GS traditions such as songs and games.  Interested families can email Cindy Nevins at cindynevins@gmail.com for more information.
