For their service project this year, the Cats have decided to go back to Heartwood Haven Animal Sanctuary for a tour and to feed the pigs! (We will also be collecting pet carriers and other donation items closer to the event). Please RSVP for your scout if they can come and yourself if you would like to join. Please specify if you are able to drive and how many scouts fit in your car. This is a Girl Scout only event, no siblings please. All adults must be registered GS volunteers.
The plan:
Meet at OHE at 9am, load up in cars, leave OHE no later than 9:30.
Arrive at Heartwood Haven in Roy, WA just before 11am.
We will tour the sanctuary and feed the pigs!
Leave HH around 12:30-ish.
Bring snacks, a sack lunch (no nuts, please), and a FULL water bottle. Kids will either eat on the road or we may be able to stop at a nearby park after the tour to eat.
We will aim to be home around 2pm-ish.
Please dress for the weather and to get dirty! Last year it was HOT. There is little/no shade on the tour.
